The forecast was anything but promising for this event with rain & high winds qouted for the day. The rain fortunately did not materialize but the wind was brisk and increased through the day to about 16/18 mph by the time of the 7th round.
Not surprisingly quite a few people did not turn up as promised and some of those who did elected not to fly in the conditions. Richard re jigged the matrix to allow 2 slotts per round, with 9 flyers in total flying.
There was yet another mid air collision, the third one this year, when Ray Gaddene,s Pulsar tried to mate with Kieth Fishers Puslar. This resulted in both models landing safely, apart from Ray's one that lost a wing tip, that dissappeared down wind never to be found.
Richard Harris ran the comp, his first one of this type very smoothly and there was even time for the 400 Kent Electric league in the lunch break, which was contested by 6 flyers flying 4 rounds on one charge the winner being Peter Sainsbury.
