Towner Trophy
A great late summer day at Ashurst West Sussex. 24 entries, some multiple, turned up for a relaxed open comp. Despite the lovely weather it was not always easy to find lift in the blue sky. Not all, but most slots did go the full ten minutes and after 3 rounds 2 pilots had 3000, Kevin Dart and Kevin Beale with the rest of the field hot on their heals. After 4 rounds the 5 man fly off was set as the lift started to get harder to find making the fly off a real test of flying skills. Both slots did the full 15 minutes, 3 pilots in the fist slot and 2 in the second. In the end it was Kevin Dart that proved to be the best on the day. Well done Kevin and thanks to Colin Lucas for arranging the field and Keith Write for doing all the scouring. Thanks too to all the pilots for turning up and having a good time.
