The 4^th of the Peterborough winter series competitions took place on Sunday the 7^th of February, 16 pilots turned out to fly.

The day started cold and damp with a very light breeze, these conditions continued until round 5 when the wind speed and wind chill increased. Despite the cold, damp and overcast day flight times were very good throughout the five rounds, with most slots being flown out.

This competition was a first for one of our pilots, Conner Huckle has been flying with his granddad Bob Rapp and the Peterborough boys for a while but this was his first competition. He flew consistently throughout the day with no problems and managed to finish the comp above his Peterborough mentors. I hope he will continue to fly with us throughout the year.

The day went well for team 64 but Sydney Lenson and Andre Borrowskie were also on form and this made for a good competition. Kevin however was determined to finish in the top spot, and this he did in style with 5000 points. John Hullett flew equally as well with his 100s model to earn himself a very credible 4930 points, not bad against mostly F3J models. Sydney Lensen also flew well and pushed Dave Varah and Pete Newitt down to finish in 3^rd place with 4869. Top 100s was of course John Hullett.

A very enjoyable day despite the cold, thanks to Neville for the use of his equipment and also to everyone who helped with the field.

The next comp (5^th in the series) is on the 21^st of February (2 weeks time) at Twywell.
