After a month of fine dry weather the morning of the competition brought the first rain for weeks but by the start time the drizzle had thankfully stopped. The early slots were flown in overcast conditions with only patches of very light lift and light winds but later some sun interspersed with cloud poduced variable conditions which caught out even experienced pilots. The fly off also produced some variable results with Ian Duff emerged as a worthy winner. The change in bonus points for fly offs this year in order to bring them into line with Eurotour events leaves Ian and Chris Glover tied at the top of the table.
