The new Tragi – by Peter Allen

Heino Korvel has sent Peter some pictures of his new model which Peter is sure will be of interest to a lot of BARCS members. As Heino was generous enough to sponsor Interglide 2008, Peter thought that it would be a good gesture to give him some publicity -it might help Peter to persuade him to continue his sponsorship next year!

Tragis have gained a reputation for good build quality and strength over many years but the basic design has become a bit dated. It was originally designed for F3F/F3B use and has been stretched for Open/F3j use and is now showing its age. Heino has now developed a completely new model specifically for Open and F3J events.

At 3.56m span and 1,93Kg weight for the prototype it promises to be a good soarer. Strength should not be a problem as it uses the same massive spar and wing joiners as the old series and Peter has never seen one break or flutter yet even in extreme launches. Production is just starting and orders are being taken now.

More information is available on the Tragi web site www.tragi.ee. This site is badly in need of updating but Heino says that he has dpne the model first and the web site comes will come second so its probably better to E mail him on heino(at)tragi.ee.
