The schedule for the 2010 F3J team selection events is below. There are 4 one day events and 3 'national' 2 day events. As in previous years the best four scores will count towards the team selection for the 2011 F3J European Championships subject to at least one of these scores being made at one of the 2 day events. One of the 1 day score may also be substituted by the result from an F3J Eurotour competition.
In addition to these events any F3J competition which is run according to the 2010 BMFA F3J rule book will count towards the BMFA F3J league and BARCS members competing in these events will qualify for the BARCS F3J league.
To begin the season off there will be 2 'test days' as in previous years. These will be at:
Ashurst 4th April
Leighton Buzzard 11th April
These are not formal competitions but a chance to dust the cobwebs (or it could be snow after this winter!) off yourselves and the models, meet up with other pilots, check out what new toys others have been spending their money on, test your winch and generally be sociable. Newcomers are very welcome and there will be plenty of help and advice. There is no pre entry or fixed entry fee but insurance is essential and a small donation will be collected on the day.
The 'national' events are:
May 30/31st Radioglide at Marsh Gibbon. Entries to be sent to Al Lipscombe and the entry form will be on the BARCS web site.
June 26/27th Interglide Eurotour event at Marsh Gibbon. Entries to be sent to Austin Guerrier and the entry form is available now on the Interglide web site.
August 29/30th British Nationals at a location close to Barkston Heath. Entry details and forms will be published in the BMFA News and on the BMFA web site in a few weeks.
The 1 day events are:
25th April - Twywell
16th May - Ashurst
11th July - Scotland (venue TBA)
19th September - Upton on Severn
Entries for all these events can be made individually or collectively using the entry form with this bulletin.
In the event of cancellation there is a reserve date of 3rd October. The venue will be at original field of the cancelled event or, if not available, as close as possible.
What with all this and the F3J World Championships its going to be a busy year!
Peter
