I have forgotten to mention that there will be a competition fee of £10. It will cover the extra equipment we will need and any extra will go to the coffers of GBSRA and SWSA as usual.

For a very brief moment I read that as coffee.

There I was hoping for croissants as well.

Sorry, Dave. It’s on Saturday. Shall I put you down for then?

Can only do Sunday as a reserve date

Here is the entry list so far. If you thought you’d entered and your name doesn’t appear, let me know. We are still quite a way from the maximum 30, so other entries are welcome. Forecast is still looking OK for Saturday, but only just OK.

1. Me

2. Mark Treble

3. John Phillips

4. Graeme Mahoney

5. Les Woods
6. Mike Evans

7. Andy Burgoyne

8. Mark Passingham

9. Paul Stubley

10. Dave (DDM)

11. William
12. Keith Wood

13. Bruce Hudson

14. Greg Lewis

15. David Woods

16. Aleix Ingles Elias

Dave Rumble will come as well if we defer it to Sunday.

Aleix has called it right. There will be some wind, but also buckets of rain and almost certainly wall-to-wall clag. So it’s OFF, guys. Sunday is forecast to be even wetter, so that’s OFF, too.

Let’s hope that next weekend at Whitesheet will be better.

Would F3F competitions count as organised sporting events?

I race RC cars and we were able to run competitions subject to Distancing rules being observed.

As long as they have an organising body, I think the answer to that is ‘Yes’. While I was trying to keep the Woollyback afloat at the end of last year, I was careful to ensure that Jon Edison (GBSRA chair) was on side, in the belief that doing so would make the event an ‘organised sporting event’.
