Well, both BBC & XC are looking favourable so I’m calling the English Open ON.
Given the due West forecast, provisionally I see us on the far end of the NW slope, however this might change on the day

See you all 09:00 Sunday morning.

Any up dates on attendance. ??

Posted

Hi Tony,

I’ve just asked Nigel to post the latest on attendance as he’s managing this.

Tony, the entry list has not changed and is now finalised.  With a reasonable weather forecast no entrants have withdrawn, so the reserve requests didn't make it I'm afraid.

Knowing that the list is closed for tomorrow..... but just hoping that someone does not make it last minute.....

Would there be a chance for the guys from the wating list to join on the spot in case someone does not show up ?  I'm up for an early drive, and otherwise if the attendance is complete then I would head to Devisez....

just wondering if that would be a possibility or is it locked for good?

It's OK then. No worries, I guess it's not possible.

Have fun today guys. It seems it will be good wind  👍.

Hi Aleix, only just seen this post.  There haven't been any last minute exits, so no it doesn't really make sense to drive down today.  Normally we would be happy to have visitors for the social opportunity, but we are not even supposed to promote that.

I am hopeful that we may not need to limit numbers for future events.

Just back....enjoyable day out, thanks very much Graeme and Nigel for making that happen. Very variable conditions for everyone made things interesting and frustrating but just really good to be out on the slope again. Congrats to JP on the win, and everyone else for making a good day.

Congratlations & very well done to both Graeme & Nigel for both organising & running this years English Open, i'm proud of you guys 👏

It sounds like it was a very enjoyable & successful comp.

Congratlations JP on winning this yrs event, to Mark Redsell on taking 2nd place, & to Mark Treble on being third 👏

I'm looking forward to reading Nigels / Graemes report , further posts & photo's

I am very disappointed / depressed that my continued poor health prevented from attending to watch at least a few rounds.

Huge thank you to everyone that supported the event 🤞
