Sussex newbie

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I've been a member of Sussex radio flying club and Slope Soaring Sussex for the last 5 years but limited flying as working away.  CV19 has 'helped' me into retirement so I'm looking at a lot more flying.  I came here via a mention of BARCS in a book on RC gliders.

I'm about to look at the forum on virtual flying which seems a weird thing to want to do to me, but then he of little knowledge ...

Hi Marc

Welcome to the BARCS forum

As you say, seems a bit odd joining a forum and seeking out the virtual section first, but, as you say "he of little knowledge"

Good luck with your perambulations in the virtual world:)

Hi Marc,

The virtual competition was driven by two objectives the first to have some form of competition during the lockdown the second is it was a proof of concept for using Gliderscore with remote input of scores.

Since the lockdown eased Tony Merrit has run three competitions using Input from smartphone into Gliderscore thus satisfying the social distancing.

If it’s of interest, check in the electric F5J thread.

Happy flying
