This F3K league event is to be held at Twywell - not far from Kettering.  This is a farm field and is normally grazed by sheep, please ensure that the gate is closed and secured at all times...

The start time will be 10:00 - please aim to arrive by 09:30 at the latest.

Entries close at 18:00 on Friday 02nd October.

Please bring your BMFA Membership card to show for proof of insurance.

An entry fee of £10 per head will be charged for this event - please be ready to pay on the day - juniors free.  All are welcome, but BMFA insurance is a necessity. New contest pilots especially welcome, no experience necessary - well, you need to be able to launch and land back near yourself!  I'll update the table below as the entries come in - either reply to thread or PM me to enter.

The lanes around the field are narrow and used by horseriders - please take care.

Special procedures will be announced to mitigate risks due to the pandemic.

Pilot entry list.....

1.  Neil H

2.  Mike C

3. Mike S

4. Paul R

5. Gavin S

6. David P

7. Carlos DS

8. Mike F

“So tell me more about your model flying competitions ....”

Well you look at the weather forecast for the next event a lot...

......and sometimes you go flying but mostly you just look at weather forecasts....

Come on guys, this is the last event of the season.....

We need only one more to make this an official competition.  It’s all to play for....places for the U.K. team up for grabs.

We just look at all the weather forecasts and pick the one we like the best

It's a shame the rules don't allow for more flexibility / reserve dates on a weekend.  Especially if all people fighting for places can make it.

Sunday looks a better day.

I will fly if necessary to make it 'legal'.

I have asked if the farmer is happy for us to use the field, given the rain in the forecast today and on Friday.

We know that the entrance can get cut up in the wet.

I had hoped to make this one, but unfortunately it looks highly unlikely at the moment.

Hope the weather holds up and you can get a full comp in.

We will keep praying to the weather gods but I think it will be a small miracle.

Final call at 6pm as usual so please check back here before travelling.

Confidence is low.  Honestly, there would have to be a miracle, or will not attend.  As much as I want to fly, I do not fancy the trip there and back in probably bad conditions, to may be, if we are lucky, get 4 rounds in.  Also, I should be working tomorrow!

DLB for sure - Forecast says it's been raining on site since 5am today and is only due to stop tomorrow afternoon.

It sucks.
