Please submit your score below. The clock will start when the first score is submitted.

This is a for fun challenge, anyone with a bungee-launched glider up to 2 metres wingspan and the standard Hi-Start can post a time.

Object: Fly your 2 metre glider for as long as possible from a flat field, the person who's time is unbeaten for 14 days 'wins' and a new challenge starts.

While the object is to encourage F3-RES types, any model up to 2 metre span may be flown (F3-RES, foam, full house aileron mouldie) but please state the type of model with your time.

The standard Hi-Start bungee is a maximum of 10m of 6/4mm surgical tubing and 50m of static line (minimum 30lb breaking strain). Lighter/smaller bungee rubber may be used.

Fly safely! No slope soaring

Got out yesterday. Cold but a little broken sunshine.   Not much lift even with the dlg.  Zero wind so XRES launch height wasn't great.   Managed a 4 min flight with a weak bubble.

Nice to be out back at the field though.

Well done David

I tried to get out Sunday afternoon after the fog lifted . It was quite nice but by the time that I would have got to the field it would have been going dark and Christmas chores also beckoned...  Hopefully, I will redeem myself before the 20th

Belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and Apologies.

Just remembered that I hadn't updated this.

I actually did get out within the 14 days, a week or so ago. A dull calm late afternoon so wasn't expecting much. Which is exactly what I got..

Our field was waterlogged but undeterred, I laid out bungee and line, hooked up, walked back to stretch, released and the bungee broke (at the dowel join) almost instantly and too low to recover. Result, a cracked fuselage rod and a cracked wingtip. Fortunately, the ground was very soft so damage wasn't as bad as it could have been. I managed to sleeve the crack in the fus and have repaired the tip so hopefully good to go again.

Anyway, well done David, sorry I couldn't offer you more of a challenge.

I'll add a posting for the first 2021 Challenge, Rules as published in the 2021 discussion document (models must not have ailerons or camber changing devices) but otherwise as per 2020 for the first few challenges at least.

Thanks to the those who have supported this fun challenge this year, hope to see more in 2021.

Best wishes
