Any idea if he has a gyro of any kind?

How the hell does he control it.

I did a bit of DS with a JW 60 at maybe 60 mph, could have even been 80 but I crashed a lot.

Im a pretty good flier and can handle glow Helis and a bit of F3a, as well as normal slope flying, but he must be really good.

Apprently they recorded 140G at the top and bottom turns (with a previous Kinetic). But the measuring device in the model only went up to 140G 😲

He (Spencer Lisenby) did a presentation a while back on the development of the Transonic, really interesting if you have an hour to spare some time. It really is remarkable what goes into designing, building and flying at that level!

Actually - its 548 + 65 airspeed as it crosses the shear layer into the 65mph wind = 613mph airspeed

I'm Captain Slow , only managed 168  mph so far. One of my early problems was too much aileron throw, I thought I needed a lot throw to combat the turbulent back side but as the speed very quickly builds up the excessive throw makes the model twitchy and prone to over control..  You need just  enough control throw to fly frontside smoothly. with a lower low rates in reserve. Also good speed on entry to the back side
