Lockdown planes waiting to be maidened

Recommended Posts

Three of these need first flights and one has only had one very encouraging outing.

The camper van is waiting to be fired up.  All we need now is to be allowed out to play. And to hope that the great British publics new found love of the outdoors will disaappear once the pubs reopen!

Anyone else got a queue of toys waiting or have I just got a bit carried away?!

Kevin

I’ve been testing one of my new toys this morning:

Made one usable half-tailplane core .... and, yes, I’ve got an all new Pitbull 2 to maiden and the ‘green’ Pitbull 2 to remaiden. (It’s a Trigger’s broom now, with very little green left on it. Wings are neon orange with green sine waves. Fus is white.)

The ballast and the brick are hi-tech ways of stopping the blank sliding around!

That’s an impressive line up Kevin, other than the lovely E-Pike are the equally lovely others Freestylers? It’s not the flying that bothers me with maidens it’s how the landings go! 😳

Turn it up to 11 and you’ll get through that brass no problem at all 😬

I am indeed a lucky chap.
A Freestyler 3 (on the camping chair), Freestyler 4(Christmas present next to the tree) and a Caldera (red).

Exciting times, now if Nicola will just let us out to play 🤞

One electric 2m soarer that I have refuselaged was plastic, now balsa (100g lighter).

One scratch built F3RES, About 75% done.

One Billy Bargain Multiplex Panda brushed RTF with Tx off a clubmate who only wanted a tenner for it. I think a slab plus the cash should do it.

Well, I have maidened the Panda in a field nearby that we walk my dog in. Warm day, some thermals, no-one else walking their dogs ... perfect day for it actually. 👍

Clive.

Also building a pair of Phase 6 Pros for me and the Dark Lord.

Very nice!

Phase 6 pros - very retro - with the original wing section (*) or something more modern?

(*looked like a decambered E374 to me - needed good lift)

Mark, may I be so impertinent to ask you whom is the Dark Lord? The other half? :)
