NASA's Mars drone flies with Linux

Recommended Posts

Perseverance's drone Ingenuity needs to fly autonomously - an 11 minute delay from your Tx to your drone would likely mean its crashed well before you knew it.
I wonder if an FAA ID had to be applied to it at 1.8kg :)

Have signs of life been found on Mars?

I know some pilots with an 11 minute response time  😉

It flies! Confirmation of flight data starts at 37 minutes in video. A new milestone in flight achieved - what a feeling in the control room! I felt a little something too - as a slightly emotional football commentator once said - 'I felt a lump in my throat as the ball went in.' 🙂

No sign of an operator number on it.
