ps Major bonus finding a Fish and Chip shop open in Craven Arms on the way home. Fish and chips supper after a good day's flying. What's not to love about that!

I had a good start getting the winning #7 bib, rather than the skin tight #4 I thought I might have gained 2 stone at Horcum, which was unsettling.

It's all about the bibs! I had a great day, we did well to hang in for one of the latest starts I can remember.

Thanks to Andy, Les, Mike and Mark for organising the day despite the challenging weather conditions. When we got to lunchtime I had given up hope of us getting any rounds in. It was quite pleasant when the sun finally appeared. 

Thanks to Peter for doing all the driving and organising accommodation and a visit to a brilliant hostelry. 

Thanks also to Graeme for his support recovering my Shinto. The memory of wading through the water and foot deep mud underneath will stay with me for ever!
