I had 30g in the Vortex 3 from start to finish. Also one landout (by 40cm!)

So we were both at about 275g flying weight.

I settled on 40g in the Yoda so ended up  about the same weight as you too.

3 groups is definitely preferred, but I’m not sure what only having 3 pilots per group does to the scoring. With 15 pilots it’s a better mix in each group and more planes in the air to show me where the lift is!

30g so only 250 total.  I tried more but my back objected and I didn't like way model flew (need to check CG).

2 land outs.   Great weather and comp though.

I used the round 900mAh, but I don't think they are available anymore.

Thanks to Neil and Paul for organising,  the speed Paul was able to reorganise the matrix was impressive.

I flew with 25g for rounds 3 4 5 and 50g in rounds 6 and 7

A great comp indeed, many thanks Paul for all your help as always.

Good to see a last entry from David P which made switching from 2 groups to 3, this did lead for a more relaxed event which I actually did enjoy.

Started flying my Strong BAMF2 which is 240g empty, in the morning with 25g ballast and then in the afternoon when the cloud cover broke and the lift got stronger increased to 47g.

It covers a lot of sky at this weight, more air travelled means more search for good air

I fitted a 1S 1000 (pen cell type from H’King) with no need to add nose weight for 65mm C/G. Full day flying without charging, probably do two days.
