Over lock-down, Adrien Gallet produced an impressive 30-page guide to F5J. The English translation, on which Josh Lloyd also worked with Adrien, is: 'The Duration Glider and the F5J Competition' (pdf Download from Google drive.)

Adrien is one of the most successful F5J fliers in France, though he's only just ceased to be a junior. The guide has a lot of really interesting material, though I found a couple of sections a bit difficult to follow. Concentrates mainly on model set-up and for thermal reading refers the reader to the Joe Wurtz videos linked to elsewhere on this forum.

Whenever I look at advice from the top pilots I'm struck by the way in which they have not only a lot more talent than we 18-handicap fliers but also enormous patience and dedication in optimising their model set-up.
