Hi all.

Thermal soaring and the best advise for anyone coming into the sport for the first time.

A to Z on the best way to stay aloft.

What are the best signs to look out for when soaring. How to find the best lift etc.

Has anyone ever put this a forum, in a book or in an article before ?

Looking forward to your replys.

Adrian.

PS.

I came across this.

Adrian.

I am sure this is for full size pilots but it would be nice to have the same type for RC pilots.

Unstable/thermic days are generally marked by cumulous type clouds unless it's a blue thermal day. Any thermals need energy to form so usually the sun! If there are thermals then often you can spot soaring birds marking them; gulls, buzzards etc are good markers. Swallows and swifts also mark them as they feed on insects picked up off the ground/trees. A vario is a must to centre on the lift, and also to centre on sink to get down on realy good days if you haven't got crow-braking!

Just search Joe Wurts on Youtube. Everything you need to know including stuff you didn't even know you needed to know.
