kevb Posted March 30, 2022 Share Posted March 30, 2022 Once again, the weather gods looked down on us and smiled. Sun, thermals, light winds and some sink. The grass was a little long but soon got trodden down around the landing spots and we had a great day. We had a smaller than expected entry but enough to run 6 rounds of 3 groups. With the heat and small entry, we decided to have a ten minute break at the end of each round and a half hour lunch break after round three so as not to run people into the ground. This also gave Colin, Graham and myself a breather. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves despite two damaged model. The competition was quite tight in the good conditions with only a couple of slots not going full length. Thanks to the Horsham club for allowing me to run this comp and to all the members that turned up to watch and got roped in to time and man the gate. Results and photos below. Closing date for entries is 18:00 on Friday 20th May. Get your entries in. With this low entry there is a risk of cancelling this event so if you all want to fly comps get the entries in. We always have fun at Horsham Horsham F5J on 22nd May. Mr_SMO Posted May 23, 2022 Share Posted May 23, 2022 I want to thank everyone for a great day, Ian and Peter in particular for lending me their Altis'. Sadly, my lowly score of zeros doesn't reflect the enjoyment I got from the day. It reflects a technical hitch, being unable to get my altis to register a F5J height. When I've checked out one or two more things, i'm going to start a thread on the problem, and hope people can help me out. My thanks to the organisers also.
