wookman Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Second guessing the call a bit for the far end of the Crest.

MikeE Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 When we walked over the other week there were quite nice tracks left by the farmers quad. Walking would have been easy, if it wasn't for the wind on that day. Sadly I cannot come to this one, but on the plus side it's because I'm going to La Muela. 5
wookman Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 We will have to see what the call is Andy. Good luck for your trip to Espanol Mike. 2

mtreble Posted April 8, 2022 Author Posted April 8, 2022 Forecast looks ok to me, so I guess we should call this ON! Has anyone got some timing gear/A frames to bring? Meet at 9:30a.m. 2
Les Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Have a good one guys Shame this one wasn't in Yorkshire as I'm at the cottage near Whitby for a week. 2 1

Mark P Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Unfortunately I can't make it tomorrow. Ankle is playing up and a day yomping across the Bwlch will do it more harm than good. Have a good one. 2
oipigface Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 I’m in much the same situation as Mark, except it’s knees with me! 2
Andy_B Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 13 rounds on the back of the wrecker …..I’m nick knacked now 5 3
Phil.Taylor Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 Top day out on a top slope - not been to the Bwlch for 3 years - its still awe-inspiring / humbling Big thanks to Joel for organising/herding & a good slope call for BOTW instead of Crest Phil. 4
Rumbey Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 Yeah good day indeed. Full on. Thanks to Joel and Mark for cding. Some really good flying on show. I need to take the speed limiter off my Pitbull. It's stuck on 42/43 seconds per round excluding the cuts!! 3 2

Redbird Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 Yes it was a super day all through. 'Vladimir' did very well. 4
wookman Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 A cracking day out on the back of the Wrecker. Thanks to Joel "this is not a democracy" West and everybody else for making it so. A very close last place overall for me, but I was pleased with a 43 second run which would have a PB but for the mental trip to the Crest the other week. With special thanks to Andy B for advice to fly close to the edge of the slope rather than in Devon where it is all depression. Also a big thank you to PhilT whose advice about flying too far past the downwind turn I took a bit too much notice of and promptly cut turn 1 on my next run! The McMeekin Falcon even got a run out in the last round having wrecked half the wing linkages on the last landing with the Extreme. Roll on Whitesheet and L2. 6 1
