FxRES is a 2m soaring class with models constructed mainly from wood. Competitions are a variant of the FAI F3L provisional class, that has a simple format with a 4-hour window where competitors can fly up to 10 timed flights (6 min max), best 6 flights count, no landing bonus. This allows F3L and F5RES to compete alongside each other but have different score sheets. A competitor can fly both classes if they wish.
Full set of rules is 7.24 in the SF rule book, BMFA membership is a must. F5RES height limiters set to 100m/30seconds, bungees are provided, please do not use your own?

Not far off now. Entries close tommorow (Tuesday) so still time to support the first ever FxRES in the SF Nationals.

Good luck all, sorry I won't be able to join in the fun, but will be there in spirit.

Sorry

I wont be able to make it tomorrow.  Fell very badly 6 days ago and fractured my sacrum in my back. Its the big bone at the base of your spine that links your backbone to your pelvis. Looking at 6 to 12 weeks recovery. :(

I have let Martin and Lawrence know. I hope you have a great day.

Huge thanks to you and Lawrence for running a very successful RES League and the competitors who supported the events.

Fingers crossed we get even more competitors and the same amazing weather next season.

Please can you update my F3L model on League results to "X-RES"

Many thanks

Well done David...  A worthy league winner.

Looks like conditions at the Nats were a bit tough. A few zeros which I assume were due to landing out.

After the near perfect conditions for sat/sun competitions, Monday was a bit disappointing.   Gusty, cool and wet.   There were thermals but you needed plenty of height to get back to the box.   Been a while since model disappeared in the low cloud!

Speedy recovery Martyn.
