CANCELLED - Kent Interclub Electric 1 F5J competition, Gravesend 2 April. CANCELLED

The field is waterlogged. CD Bob Ryan did a pitch inspection this morning and decided the it was going to be too wet - then confirmed by a request from the Gravesend Chairman to avoid damage by  postponing the comp. Sorry (especially to the Tonbridge guys who have now had two cancellations for the same day.)

Reserve date 16 April will be used - same venue. Please sign up again for this - 2 April reservations will not be carried forward. Sign up will open presently

 

Details

• This is an open competition and non-Kent Interclub club members are very welcome (entry fee £5 for non KIC members).  The event will run to F5J rules with UK variations. Results will count for the BMFA F5J League.
• CD on the day: Bob Ryan.
• Gliderscore and any queries: Nick Jackson (whitstable.nick@outlook.com)
• Gliderscore eScoring will be used - scores submitted via smart phones. No problem if you are not familiar with the system or don’t have a smartphone – help readily available on the field.
• We want to have a full day's flying so please check in 09:30 latest and be ready for Pilots Briefing at 09:45 with the competition starting at 10:00 sharp.

• Please ‘Reply’ to this topic no later than 6pm Friday 31st March. 
• Please indicate frequency if not using 2.4GHz

Confirmation

• A final decision to confirm or cancel depending on the weather will be posted here by 6pm Friday 31st March. 
  Please note that entrants need to check here as you will not be emailed about cancellation.

Directions to the field

• Leaving the M2, follow A289 towards Medway tunnel and then follow signs for B2000 towards Cliffe.
• Follow B2000 right through Cliffe village until road narrows and then right into Reed Street which then becomes Common Lane. 
• Field is down track on corner of Common lane/ Rye street
• The nearest postcode is ME3 7UD (but this take you to the farm house in Rye Street. At the junction of Common Lane and Rye Street, go north for 150 metres on the farm track, The field entrance is on the right.
  Please remember to shut the gate on entry and exit.

Yeah - we were aware of the clash and it's a pity. But unfortunately we couldn't avoid it - very limited availability of fields and dates. Enjoy LB.

Sorry to see Tony has had to cancel Little Bentley, though of course will be great to see you guys at Gravesend. But please note that CD Bob Ryan is keeping a close eye on the Gravesend field and that's not looking too grand either. Please, everyone, do check back here for a decision by 6pm tomorrow, Friday.
