As mentioned in the in other thread, there are restrictions in place on the campsite for anyone planning on staying overnight:

”Due to the amount of rain we have experienced recently the campsite will be closed and the will be no vehicles permitted on grass areas at all (unfortunately not even the CD’s camper van).

Camping will be on the hardstanding areas (including the flyers car park if required), the guys in tents can put them on the grass but again no vehicles, suggest they use they put their vehicles at the far end of the flyers carpark and put the tents just over the fence on the grass.”

Do we need to book camping in advanced this time? Or just pay on the day?

Home safe and sound.

Body broken, but mind and soul very happy. Thank you everyone. Really had a great weekend, and was super touching base with you all.

Thank you PaulR for all your effort - super appreciated.

Yes, great flying Mike! Nice to see you all and get back into the competition mode.

@terryspence It was a shame to see your NXT in three pieces but I hope you get it back together soon, but I saw some good flights after that point with your backup model too.

Not sure of Steve C's user name on here - but there were some good flights/rounds from him in there too.

I managed to make it home completely drained after a few stops for coffee... Aching this morning though.

I've made a few minor changes to the scores which haven't affected anything except a couple of percentage points. I seemed to have someone else's scores in round 1 which was the biggest change.

A shame we have to wait until 13th May now, but that means plenty of time for more practice I guess 🙂 and lets hope the weather gods continue to smile on us through 2023 (it really did feel strange not really considering ballast through 2 days of flying!) [Reading that back I guess I've already forgotten the close to freezing overnight temperatures the night before!]

Great job on the CD, Paul. I looked around the kitchen, but it seemed neat to me. There was a tiny bit of washing up, so I did that, and I put the chairs and tables back in the hanger, but it all seemed ship-shape to me bar that 5 mins of tidying up. I guess someone else got busy in there before me.

Thanks Paul for the kind words and yes it’s a shame about the NXT but it’s repairable (YES Mike I must remember - PULL THE BRAKES ! ).

Great weekend meeting everyone again.

Thanks Paul great job.

It was such a lot of fun. Thanks @PaulR for an amazing job of organising the two days- making it a welcoming and enjoyable come and try day as well as the comp. Your efforts behind the scenes and on the day are very much appreciated. And thanks all for your company and conversations - always much to learn about the sport, and stories to share of past comps. A great time, and certainly the best conditions I have experience at Buckminster!
