16 April CANCELLED - field waterlogged again. CD Bob Ryan inspected today and the field is not going to be usable Sunday. Sorry we're having to cancel for a second time. Not sure whether we can managed a reserve reserve date - will consult.

Next currently-scheduled KIC comp is Glider 1 (multilaunch) at SADMAC Sunday May 7.

Details

Contest originally scheduled for 2 April was cancelled and we're now instead using the 16 April reserve date.

• This is an open competition and non-Kent Interclub club members are very welcome (entry fee £5 for non KIC members).  The event will run to F5J rules with UK variations. Results will count for the BMFA F5J League.
• CD on the day: Bob Ryan.
• Gliderscore / queries: tba
• Gliderscore eScoring will be used - scores submitted via smart phones. No problem if you are not familiar with the system or don’t have a smartphone – help readily available on the field.
• We want to have a full day's flying so please check in 09:30 latest and be ready for Pilots Briefing at 09:45 with the competition starting at 10:00 sharp.

To enter

• Please ‘Reply’ to this topic no later than 6pm Friday 14 April. 
• Please indicate frequency if not using 2.4GHz
• To fly 16 April, you need to register for 16 April - registrations for 2 April not carried forward.

Confirmation

• A final decision to confirm or cancel depending on the weather will be posted here by 6pm Friday 14 April. 
  Please note that entrants need to check here as you will not be emailed about cancellation.

Directions to the field

• Leaving the M2, follow A289 towards Medway tunnel and then follow signs for B2000 towards Cliffe.
• Follow B2000 right through Cliffe village until road narrows and then right into Reed Street which then becomes Common Lane. 
• Field is down track on corner of Common lane/ Rye street
• The nearest postcode is ME3 7UD (but this take you to the farm house in Rye Street. At the junction of Common Lane and Rye Street, go north for 150 metres on the farm track, The field entrance is on the right.
  Please remember to shut the gate on entry and exit.

Glad you can make it, Pete. I'll have a word with Bob about the valet parking (and get back to you nearer the time - I do appreciate it's a serious concern not getting your van stuck.)

When i worked at the school, I tried typing up something for D & T, on PC. Threw me when it came out like an Enigma code transmission, only to find out that the little darlings had swopped the lettering round on the key board I had no idea up till then that they can be removed as they just clip into place, so if I have typo that does not work, remove them and clear what is trapped under it.
