New template for 4-servo F5K models, for Ethos

Hi folks, seems that this thread is a bit moribund, but here goes anyway... I have a new template for F5K models with 4 servos + ESC, for FrSky tx's running Ethos.

This is the fifth in a growing family of Ethos templates, and features all the class-specific features one would expect, as well as a detailed setup guide.

F5K template on Mike's Ethos Hangar

For 6-servo F5K models, E-Soar Plus is the one to go for.

(Thanks as always to T9 HobbySport for their support of the site.)

Thank you RC Soar....

We are in the process of developing this class for the UK.

My intention is to run a couple of events this year to try and generate some interest in this class.  I will probably open it up to 2m models as people are more likely to have such a model already.

Watching with interest. Would opening it up to 2m models mean it is effectively esoaring with tasks?

What’s the model spec for European F5K contests?

From my point of view, I would like to see a post outlining a typical contest content/programme of tasks etc. I hear it is similar to F3K but I suspect the tasks must be a bit different for safety and practicality.

Full F5K (Provisional) details are in the FAI Sporting code including model spec and tasks. They have been for a few years now I think, but there were significant revisions this year I believe.

Its section 5.5.10 (which confusingly seems to come after 5.5.11 in this version of the document!)

Thanks Paul. Having read that section I now understand the structure of the comp.

presumably the 5 tasks in 5.5.10 are repeated as required for the number of rounds, or is a contest made up of just 5 rounds?
