What about moving the race to Wales?

Maybe the reserve date would work for Whitesheet.

I don't mind if it's Whitesheet or Wales... I just want to get my first comp in after such a long time away. 😁

I don't mind moving. Too many variables to get things right. If it's not the rain.... See what the others say

There seems to be no wind for Wales though

There's enough wind for the Crest on Sunday. Let's do it!!!!

Not to wee wee on anyone’s bonfire ,but you can’t just rock upto the bwlch with 20 blokes setup a course and tell anyone else who might arrive to bugger off . Proper arranged dates are different .

im also note sure you can at this point just move a scheduled league events location……some that should have been diss used at the start of the year .

yes I know that we need more numbers and betters comps .

just my 2c

Andy …..who will be flying in Wales on Sunday

Ok, so what do we need to do to move to Wales…?
contact AJ for permission?
the Crest is a huge slope with enough space for the locals and us, it seems crazy to just cancel without exploring all avenues.

Mart T, can we officially chance the venue?

Got to be worth a try. Be good to get a race in if we can.

I think so.
Given the poor weather of late and dwindling entries we need to be a bit more flexible.

Totally agree with you Graeme.  Entries are getting back.... need to make it happen if possible!

I thought forecast would put us on the Wrecker.

Less flexible with others.

the forecast isnt the crest .so what do you do when all the comps are at the bwlch because it covers all directions . where do you stop

You’re correct it’s not on the Crest per se, however the Crest does fly NE as well as the Wrecker.
Anyway, just thought I’d get my 10 pence worth in. I’ll get off my soapbox now and wait for the weather call.

Dear All, I’m totally confused as to who’s supplying the gear for the comps this year, or making weather calls.
So as a Whitesheet local I’m calling it off due to the NE direction. This direction is ok for sport flying but not F3F.
maybe see some of you in Wales Sunday for some wrecker action👍.

Always worth the question Graeme, difficult decision this and has been discussed lots of time in the passed.

Well in the past the local club supply the gear, whitesheet has timing equipment and I have a set of a frames as we know. Only place there nothing in place is wales, we normally sort it some how (this did go wrong last year) Yorkshire and midland have gear as does Scotland. ESSA has a set and I think Joel has the Welsh.

weather call is best left to locals as you have  done 👍

I may visit wales Sunday, long way for me 🙁
