We have a decent entry of 10 for Sunday.

if we ignore the XC weather forecast and look at the BBC & met office, it looks like a decent westerly wind for Sunday, which would put us on Bishop hill.

Saturday looks like it might be a bit wet but with a Southerly wind so East Lomond would be working.

Maps to our slopes can be found here - https://kevin-newton.blogspot.com/p/scottish-slopes.html?m=1

I will make a call on the slope on Saturday morning.

I'm on route Friday morning, with a night in the Lakes. So on or off I'm there for the week,  unlikely to be there with enough time for a Saturday fly.

So, I can confirm we are OK to park in the paddock tomorrow at Bishop hill, which is here - https://maps.app.goo.gl/JWyU8dSLUV9E29RWA

Head for Ballo reservoir als turn left at the sign, please go very slow past the farm at the bottom and up the track, 10mph past the farm pls.

Unfortunately I'm stuck in Italy thanks to this Microsoft glitch and our rebooked flight didn't work out today so I won't be there.

Joel and Stefan are at my house so they could bring our timing gear if required? I think Mark T will bring the BMFA stuff though. Mark can also confirm the meeting time? The locals can show you where we fly.

Gutted to be stuck here, it's been chaos at the airport this morning and we have been let down, by Lufthansa this time 🙄

Thanks Peter, sorry to hear that you won't be there.

Joel/Stefan - can you confirm that you can bring timing gear?

I have bibs, anemometer & A-Frames (if required)

With only 9 pilots, we will blast through the rounds, but it is a fair walk so I would suggest meet at 9.

PayPal link is enabled on the entry page, so please make your payment today. Thanks.

I am slightly jealous, it looks like they had a superb day on Bishop Hill today while I was finally flying back from Naples.

Joel has found another reversal hill. They photographed the results sheet and I have input it at home as I think there may have been some issues with the timing gear. The good thing about our timer is that it will always time, as long as it has power.

FTD Joel West Rd 11 - 34.49

Each competitors times appear to be pretty consistent, it really is a good hill, gutted to miss it!

Yep sorry you didn't make it Pete, it was a great day. I really enjoyed the slope. Interesting trying to find those extra few seconds that seemed to elude me most rounds.

Having a break every round and moving the flying order by one each time worked well.

Super day. Thanks to Stefan and Mike McCracken for stepping in to run the centre, and thank you Peter for getting the results out so quickly!

Next event will be at the Long Mynd in 2 weeks time.

Excellent day up north, big hill, good wind speed (10-13m/s), some variability but not too much. Much more challenging to fly a good line that you might think given the size of the hill but a really nice change from the other locations we fly. Congrats to the top three and everyone for a great day out.

Just need a few mules for the hike up and down next time!

Sitting in the delayed plane back to Zurich slightly drunk 😀. Of course the trip to Scotland wasn't only about the comp but also meeting the rest of the Massive. Well meeting them both was a bit of an issue but we sorted that one out late Sunday. On the other hand a 1 day comp with 13 rounds rarely happens and although I wasn't able to conquer the slope without a thermal ot was just great!

Running the center together with MMC was great but wouldn't hvave been possible witout the help of everybody flying. Special thanks to Mark R. and Kev N.as they had to do more stints on the bases..

Congrats to Mark R. and Kev N. for finishing 2nd and 3rd with some xompletely didferen styles 👍 and well done Joel for whatever 🤣 (I love him you all know that).

Last öoint to mention: You missed a good one Peter 🤩

Safely back in Surrey and I can only echo what everyone has already said. Great place, Great people, Great Time.

Also a massive thanks to Lenny and Peter for letting us crash at their house 😍

I've also discovered a new post comp warm down routine that I can full recommend -  Beer, Fish and Chips and then a Hot Tub  - I'll save you from the pictures

The "whatever" is called a "Reversal" Stefan ..  I can teach you if you like.......  You pull up, then you roll, and then pull up again...  Its easy 🤣
