Hi All, a reminder that entry is now open for the F5J National Championships, at BMFA Buckminster on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August 2024. I'm looking forward to another great 2 day event - 2 separate day league events, being combined to decide the overall national champion for 2024 - and with that the chance to attend the BMFA awards dinner in your best suit and/or dress, and receive your trophy from BMFA royalty.

You can register here: https://www.barcs.co.uk/store/category/7-bmfa-silent-flight-nationals/  (yes it does work, I just used it).

Also note that F3K is also flying Saturday and Sunday and there is a FxRES Event on Monday the 26th August.

Cost is £15 per event per day (online entry preferred, hard copy form also available for download. Closing date: 19 August (2 weeks and 5 day's time)

There may be an option for a very limited number of people to enter on the day, at an increased cost of £20 per event per day.

Please try to enter as early as you can to make the organisers life easier - with thanks from Alex, Nick and Steve.

Sunday F5J National Championships.

This sums up the conditions - folks were flying at 2 - 2.4 kilos! Wind 20-25 mph gusting to more

I decided it was more suited to photography than trying to cope with flying my too-light model.

My thanks to the organisers, especially Alex, for bearing the stresses and strain of very challenging conditions, with rain all Saturday morning, and 18 to 25 mph winds on Sunday. However, we had a great competition both days, flying in winds I would never have dreamt of normally.
