Interest for an Eastbourne Winter F3F Open

Hi All

I am just seeing if there would be enough interest to run a two day F3F event in Eastbourne this winter

If I get enough interest then I wait until winter league dates are out and do another poll on dates that avoid the winter leagues

I personally think we to many comp though the winter without adding more to the list.

You could be doing one nearly every weekend

It's an awesome idea to have a comp on the coastline, I've always wondered why the UK doesn't do it. Consistent sea breeze and no thermals to moan about lol

I think you will struggle for a date in winter time though. 4 leagues up and down the country, all on different weekends.

We have flown the coast at Eastbourne in the past, but it requires both permission and specific wind direction on the day that is organised for the comp.

Competitions are run by the clubs who host them. We could fly more coastal competitions if we could:

1. Find a site
2. Get permission
3. Get someone to run it
4. Have the wind blowing in the right direction on the day

True but, after recent weather calls in years probably unlikely. 

Having the option for another event and being two days, would suit me. 

Last year we had a week in January in a very cheap but lovely Airbnb. It would be good to try to do it again on the SE coast.

Let me worry about permissions for all directions. For now I just need to know that if there's enough interest at the moment. Currently 6 won't cut it
