Wouldn't be France without a good protest... 😂

It’s not French people protesting, though.

I’m having a quiet day making dinner and watching ducks on the river.

lovely weather today but unfortunately not a very constant wind . we managed to get as far as 2 left in group 2 before we stopped for poor wind speed and direction .A 4 m/s lower limit is applied to all slopes in the WC and this was touch and go at times as well as varying direction . Result was group 2 reflight which never happend , so onwards to tomorrow.

Flying at Laurac today which is nobody's favourite slope! The wind started about 10ms and was very crossed so very challenging for groups 2 & 3 in rd 3. The wind was building through round 4 and now blowing 14-18ms and squaring up a bit.

Results for Rd 3 are updated; Mark 13th, me 16th and Andy 26. But I had a bad run in Rd 4 so may drop a bit with 2 x 750 scores now 🙄 Must do better!

Mark 15th, Peter 16th, Andy 34th after 7 rounds. Opinions of the awfulness of Laurac slope are being revised because those people who have learned to hate it have only flown it in awful conditions. There was some very pretty flying to be seen this afternoon!

Does that mean you going to be nice about Whitesheet from now on?

On St. Ferriol today in good conditions, started 10-14ms and now 15-18ms. I went early in Rd 8 and flew 41, which was OK at the time against a 38. Things got quicker as they do and we ended up with a 33 winning the round.

Andy was also 41 and Mark flew 39. Time for a bit more ballast 😁

No flying today. No wind this morning, light and crossed this afternoon. As Andy says, yesterday conditions were sometimes ballistic, giving the top guys real opportunities to strut their stuff. Early on In round 9 (maybe) Gaubatz posted a 35, and there were several times from the pilots following him approaching that. And then, flying last in the round, Seb Lanes put in a very aggressive 32. It was a privilege to watch.
About 20 minutes later he was flying again in the following round, but could only manage 38. When Gaubatz’ turn came again, it was as if he said ‘Anything you can do…’. and put in a 32 as well. But it looked just as relaxed and well-formed as his runs always seem to.
Gaubatz is currently a bit ahead.

Team GB is doing well in the middle ranks. Peter’s 18th or 19th, Mark’s at 21, Andy in the mid-30’s.

thanks for the up-date.  Good to add more colour than just the F3x vault scores.

Enjoy the day off

On a day off the only thing I'd be swimming in is beer 🍺

Enjoy a relaxing day at the pond
