Great that you get a day off, without having to sit it out on the slope all day.

Mark and I wound u on the slope anyway. There was zero wind all afternoon.

Conditions pretty good this morning on the Esceuillens slope with easterly winds very gusty between 9 and 14mps. Looks as if there will be four more rounds today making 15 for the whole comp.  Gaubatz has lengthened his lead against Lanes in the first two rounds this morning, to the extent that something extraordinary would have to happen for him to lose it in the last couple of rounds.
Mark and Peter are both maintaining their positions.

I’ve retired to the van in an attempt to defrost my bones.

Nice to get 4 rounds in on the last day, making 17 in total.

Conditions have backed off a little to 9-11ms. I'm all done now with 4 x 42 second runs today. There is less thermal activity but the last round was still won with a 35 (in a thermal) from Inaki. Need to wait and see whether I have squeaked into the top 20...

Hope team GB are now safely home after such a looong drive home 🇬🇧.

Mark and I are a couple of hours short of my home. He’s driving back to Yorkshire tomorrow.

He preferred this to the arrangement we’ve used in the past, which was to park his car somewhere in vicinity of London, and me picking him up from there. Our trips abroad have usually been shorter than two weeks.
