I saw a post on modelflying that the Bwlch access roads are closed due to Engineering issues - I guess the bad weather has taken its toll.  Was expected to be out for at least a week from the 3rd April - anyone have any local / updated news on this?

Quick message for Clayts for whenever he next drops in .....

You mentioned on the Welsh Winter League thread you had managed a fly at Cold Knap. I've flown the M60 off the SW beach there at low tide hugging the pebble curve at the top of the beach (Great fun) .. but have only used a DLG up top flying the gentle sloping "hill" that faces SE. Is that steep enough for F3F practice or were you lobbing off the cliff inbetween the trees in a  SW? I'm intrigued 😀. It's 10 mins from me and I always struggle for a SW (apart from heol y cyw maybe).

Just wondering if I've been missing a local SE opportunity for years. 😲

Cliff facing ESE is where we flew.

Directly opposite would be a great SW option.

We should give it a go!

25 minutes for me!

Excellent thanks Skip. I look forward to giving it a go.

Looking NE for Sunday. Wrecker a possibility with easy parking and "interesting" landing or Fochriw and a bit of excercise for the new stroll up the hill with very easy landing. Looks a bit epic either way with winds mid to high 20's.
