2/3a battery packs

HI, I noticed that you can now get 4 cell 2/3a battery packs from http://www.component-shop.co.uk/I have always had good results with vapex batteries in a wide variety of models. I will use them in my next models. Of course that type of pack (2/3a) is really useful in a lot of f3x type models as well as foamies.£7.25

I'm not a fan of Vapex either, but I do rate the Intellect 2/3a's. Got most of mine from Zim, but PhoenixMP do some too.

you see I don't rate intellects. Had a pack and the capacity was way below the stated value, so I never trusted it.  Funny how people see it different. I have never had an issue with vapex - I have packs over 4 years old that are still full capacity (AA instants and 2/3a).

No offence guys ,    But Battery's in my opinion only stay as " well " as they are looked after , thats not to say you wouldnt get a duffer ,       But a well looked after pack will last years .IMHO                    They do seem reasonable on price Tom , i may get a couple of packs myself grin.gif                        Bob

yes I agree. With intellects I even went to the extreme of buying a new charger to get them to a decent capacity.  I was told by the distributor that you need to dump charge them at a low C rating to get the capacity, but that didn't work. I have never needed to or even thought of that with vapex batteries. You could argue that a battery a bit below stated capacity is not a problem and indeed it probably isn't, but it doesn't inspire confidence and to my mind isn't worth it with the cost of a large model.
