Winter project

Recommended Posts

I'm not giving up eSoaring, but now that I've got my work room back I really fancy gluing and sticking balsa wood again. This won't last the winter, but it should get me started.Any one in BARCS land built one of these? Pete

Hi Pete, I think this is the same model, Bert Judge? My dad built it in the late 1970s and I've just rescued it from his loft. Massive warps and I remember it never flew properly, too fragile to do anything with now but it's there to look at.Didn't know that West Wings did one, nice. Cheers   Gary Picture021-1.jpg

Didn't Charles Lindberg build one of those? Went quite well if I recall.

Hi Gary,That looks like a proper one, full size! The West Wing kit is a half size scale, the kit is discontinued but I just paid a silly amount for one on ebay.I built another half size model wake from WW a few years ago and it flew really well, mostly indoors, and when I stumbled on this kit I thought I would have another go. Dunno about Lindberg, but I think he built something else famous  Pete
