Phil here from Sheffield SA and Pontefract PANDAS, just dipping a toe in the water… was a BARCS member many years ago.Started sloping at age 13 with Dads homebrew single-channel gear, I'm now 57. Wow thats a scary thought!

Fly a variety of stuff, mostly antiques (!), on the slope its currently a Phase-6, Flair Heron, 75% Veron Impala on reeds (yes) and at Ponty I fly mostly bang-bang single-channel models, Sharkface, Poppet, Tomboy48, and a Junior 60 on reeds. Strictly a budget modeller, not by choice but often the scratting and scraping makes it even more enjoyable.

Inactive radio ham (G4PHL) and busy electronics designer, did some beta testing for Frsky, retired early from BT and now help with the family business which is a boarding kennels & cattery.

Thats me in a nutshell (which is more of a simile than a summary!)

Heres my website: http://www.singlechannel.co.uk

Cheers :) Phil

Welcome along Phil :D .Interesting website you have. Most of the radio gear is way, way before my time you understand ;) .

Many thanks for posting

A big welcome from me Phil.

What a fantastic website. I immediately spotted my first transmitter from about 1967 top left of your home page, the RCS single channel, then found many other well known bits of kit, many with stories I could tell about.

I would love to try single channel again and show how we could do loops and rolls and accurate landings, all with just bang-bang rudder.Keep up the good work, and Happy Flying ! :D

Thank you chaps for the nice comments on the singlechannel website, John I sent you a pm. I'll have to be more careful, what I thought was an innocuous introduction was moderated on two counts so I'll just lurk rather than post!

Cheers & thanks again

Phil
