busterflier
Dear Sir, Understand you have wife and KST servoes for sale please forward pictures of servoes. Being serious for a moment, Ive been suffering even worse health than usual since flying at the Bwlch in January. Whats kept me sane is some small building projects. Building a Westwings Swallow at the moment ,fitting it with Micro RC. You can build a model like that with your building board on your lap. Better that watching TV! Sorry I didn't reply to this one Bear,I must have missed it somehow.Excellent idea about building small.I think I might carve a miniature Willow from a block of carnauba wax, then I could polish it endlessly...........

Find a local flat field site, buy an electric model, and get out flying every day, between the showers and gaps in the cloud it is great, flew this morning 2 flights = 40 mins hooning around. If you want to stay indoors get an erc Micro stick, or parkzone Vapor.

busterflier
I can't wait John. With retirement just over the horizon, and my knee hopefully better,I fancy building a quarter scale vintage jobbie.Mind you my wife, who's younger than me has a plan to find me all sorts of things to do around the house while she's at work.Guess who the smart money's on.......... :D

Not really sure yet Fubar,I just missed an unstarted Flair K8 recently, and I really like the Petrel and the Flamingo,so I think fate will guide me.I can say that it definately won't be a Minimoa as I really don't like either the wing planform or the canopy. If nothing falls into my lap in the 2yrs,10mths and 22dys(not that I'm counting)to my retirement then I'll start to look positively............ How about you?
Fubar
Me, I really love the shape in the Olympia Fuz. With the price of fuel going daft i'm thinking of building a Thermal jobbie sooner rather than later to fly near home , any ideas ? I would prefer to build a bungee launch type rather than one with a spinny round thing at the front.
Peter G
Dear Diary Optimism is over rated. Having attempted to run an F3F comp on Saturday and succeeded only in getting pi$$ed on and hailed on. I spotted an oportunity for a fly on my way back from a meeting today and despite the shower on arrival I thought it would pass and started up the hill in the rain. When it passed I discovered that the wind was coming along the slope despite the good forecast. Soaked again, no flyng. April sucks :(

busterflier
No, optimism is great, it's reality that's overated ! Absolutely John.My optimism is on a new high because a) I spent this morning on the Mynd having an absolute blast while my good lady went walking, we got into the Bucks Head in Church Stretton just before the promised rain arrived, and c) my knee has suddenly taken a huge leap forward (taking the rest of me with it of course) in it's healing, and it looks like I'll be back at work on monday......... :D :D

Yes the olympia is another nice one Fubar. As to the thermal soarer, funny enough I've just been flying my Flair Albatross on the mynd in the light conditions and it is a nice aeroplane to build, and fly.I'm not sure if it is still available(I bought mine approx eight years ago and built it last year) but it's worth looking out for in my opinion....... :)
