MikeE Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 Good stuff John and nice to see no stuff was involved Hopefully the start of a much better spell for you.
Andy_B Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Had a great morning with Ian on the mynd this morning ,better air than expected to be honest and his 100 inch Falcon flew really well . 2
Ian F3F Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Just back after a long day. Great company and an excellent day to be on the slope. I think I've just about got that set up right and I even got brownie points for the trip to Lilieshall! Ian
Phil.Taylor Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Ecirtech Stellar finally flies ! Goes up quick, comes down slow, floats about nicely. Handled well when I remembered to switch in the coupled rudder. Looked pretty in the air with the red, white & blue highlighted by the low evening sun against a blue sky. Not all 100% happy though - needed a large amount of aileron & rudder trim to fly straight - there's a warp(s) in the wing to sort out - the joys of someone else's build Phil. 2

Ian F3F Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 A great days flying on Micky's yesterday. The pass didn't quite work out for the race and it's not often I get up there with the slope dog for a sports fly- well worth the millage. 10-15mph squaring up on Micky's in sunshine. Playing with the Harrier set up and CG but simply having a ball with the Falcon- for pure fun you have to go a long way to beat 100 inch models!- just look at the excitement on Slope dog's face 1

SoggyBoots Posted December 2, 2021 Posted December 2, 2021 Getting her dialled in. Flies so well it makes me look good . Had to pack up prematurely as what brought the wind brought the rain . Getting a real taste of how efficient she is and testing how much ballast I can use in light winds... A lot more than I thought 2
SoggyBoots Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Another day with the Pitbull and even more impressed. 3.5 m/s sometimes less and didn't miss a beat. Amazed by the efficiency even my top model beginair wouldn't stay up in that. 3
Ian F3F Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Without Andy or Les to scare the lift- Pole Cot was ballistic on Saturday (which was a first for me). you'd have thought there was a slope involved! I was really surprised how well the big sweeping up turns were working. 2
Phil.Taylor Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 Last sunset of 2021 - from Whitesheet - after flying with Bruce & Greg - and having fun trying out Bruce's automatic F3F timing gear - buzzes but no buzzermen - magic ! Wishing everyone good lift & happy landings in 2022 Phil. 5
SoggyBoots Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Went out for a few flights at an until recently inaccessible site to me. Was joined by a few of my local buddies. A wild @Woodstockmade an appearance and also snapped possibly the most dramatic picture of a wildthing I think I've ever seen 4
Ian F3F Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 Cold and bluster at Whitesheet on Saturday but good to catch up with some flyers and thrash the new wing about with ballast in for the first time. You know what, give it good air and it goes fast! Ian 1
MikevE Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 Flat fielder here, mostly, and I'm getting sick and tired of the winter weather. Imma want me some warm days, sunshine and thermals.
