It's good to see that you all had party on the slope.

With your bacon buttys and cake.

Hope you had a great day and hopefully catch up with some of you next Sunday in Wales.

Thanks to everyone who raced today at whitesheet and enjoyed a really fun days flying. Just goes to show that you don't have to be doing ballistic times to have a good comp. A truley special comp when we arrange for the wind to stop for just long enough to cook the bacon butties!

A special thanks to John Philips for the course and CDing duties with his usual charm along with Joe Cubbbit and his catering assistant (thanks Lynda). Congratulations to John Bennett, first race day out with the WIllow and just beating of JP's Willow.

Well done to Jack on winning the battle of the Cubitts but star of the day has to go to Mike, after damaging his Willow as the wind died off e flew the day with a Weasel- you have to get marks for not giving up.

Some pictures to follow and on the willow blog.

Well done Ian & John, and John B for his win. One of the key objectives of the Winter leagues is to provide a friendly opening into F3F, so it is good to see a number of new names on the final order.

Whitesheet - and we finally got a comp in - Yay !!!

Congrats to John - well flown

Big thanks to Ian & JP for organising it

Excellent day - light winds but blue skies all day

and topped off with rather excellent cheesecake (thanks Lynda), and a nice fireside pint in the pub at the bottom of the hill :)

Special remembrance day F3F for me - 5 years to the day since I started this crazy game

So here's a special remembrance day F3F video - this is what its like for the plane - in this case my old Mondrian-schemed Fletcher - mid 1990s plane but can still get a groove on, even with a camera taped on the tail

How the hell did you guy's get time to fly when Lynda was spoiling you with big fat beacon buttys and and then giving you lot pudding, big wedges of biscuit based cake.

Don't want to say that word Ch.....see, as gromits eye's would be popping out of his head.

I'll have you know they were Asda's finest, and first batch in for the new season.

Anyway, there is far too much emphasis on food here Gromit and you are loosing touch with the whole idea of F3F being to go out and fly ten legs of a 100 mtr course as quick as you can......... without cutting
