Vinyl stickers - who does them cheap?

I have tried to find a place that would print me low volumes of colour printed vinyl stickers for my planes.

I basically can't see the forest for all the wood.

Most places make it incredibly difficult to get a quote or they appear to be cheap only to slap a hefty "small order charge" on your order after you ran the gauntlet.

Have any of you perhaps used a vinly printing service before and can make recommendations?

This is what I want to print. :) (For my latest build)

Added complication is that I need a place that can print white. Most only print CMYK.

Alternatively a place that prints on white and can cut out the contours.

It's a bit of a random query I guess, but I'm sure what I'm looking for can be done for cheap. I would just have to spend ages to find a place that does it.

I used some iron on transfer stuff but its only good if you can actually iron on to the model - so no good for composite models for example.

quite simply - not worth the printing set-up costs unless its a big run

Here's what you can do though - fun & cheap:

1. get hold of some red & black sign-vinyl offcuts from a local signwriters (or shell out for a roll of Orastick/Protrim - good stuff)

2. print out your fish design onto paper (ignore the black outline - if you must have that, add it later with a marker pen)

3. use your paper templates to cut out your fish & beret from the vinyl/Protrim

4. head over to ebay - search for sticky letters - e.g. I found this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vinyl-Letters-Numbers-Lettering-Stickers-Graphics-Decals-/260881266879?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cbdbc38bf

5. Stick it all on (use soapy water to get it positioned) & admire your handiwork

6. post up a photo on here !

Phil.

Actually - thats been quite helpful - I've been meaning to track down lettering suppliers for a couple of plane reg. numbers

http://callie-graphics.com/

Callie specialises in RC plane decals.  She is very responsive to the design process by email, quite happy to go back and forth until you are happy.  Prices are surprisingly low, and delivery too.  I've used her a number of times: highly recommended.

The vinly letters on ebay are brilliant. Thanks again for the tip Rob.

But that is more for scale jobs. If I can get this funny logo on, I would prefer that.

@jiberjaber, nice fish you have there. Looks very slick.

What did you use for covering your wings? And for the starburst?

Iron on transfer film actually sounds like a fabulous idea. I just have to improvise the white letters. I have some leftover white solarfilm...

@Phil.Taylor True. The design is simple enough to cut out with small scissors.

@Woodstock Will check them out.

I have a vinyl cutter and can probably help you out at cost - let me know more details of exactly what you need - rough sizes etc.

I've used the vinyl lettering from eBay, I order the letters in the size and style I want, then added a message for what I wanted the words to say and what colour I wanted. 1 seller even did some lettering in a script format which wasn't listed after I asked about alternatives.

It's not mine it's the other half's for the cards and stuff she makes. But it does cut vinyl beautifully...

Shameless plug: if anyone would like custom birthday/get well soon/whatever cards making get in touch.

She's really quite good, and cheap. So are the cards ;)

I guess, but I don't actually speak Froogeater. :)

Well, I almost feel confident now after reading the French manual for that fish a few times.
