Thanks Mike.  Right decision I think.

Flying Ashes tomorrow will be crazy I should think and I would expect a broken plane :(

Last one this Saturday

Currently with Andy & Paul away on hols we need a few more entries.

If anyone out there fancies a try at F3f - these winter events are the best place to give it a go.

Add your name to the list here if you fancy coming along

Hi Mike,

It would be really helpful if you could confirm who will attend the champ of champs from the Midlands league once you complete on Saturday.

Andy has confirmed he will not be able to attend therefore the current status of the league qualifying positions going into Saturday are as follows:

Mike Evans

Mark Treble

Scott Ravenscroft

Ian Webb

Paul Stubbly

Thanks

Martin

Ok so that means Les Wood moves into a potential qualifying position.

Will you confirm from your league who will attend?

Forecast for this Saturdays Long Mynd F3f comp looks perfect at the moment - (that should jinx it).

15mph S and sunny.

Ideal racing conditions, now all I need is a few more folks to race with.

currently around 11 entrants.

Long mynd f3f

The comp is on.

Weather looks set to give us a great day.

Meet top of the Burway for a comp on Ashes southerly edge.

Direction looks to be spot on, so I am looking forward to a very good comp.

Could still do with a few more entries if anyone else fancies joining us.

9,30 am should be OK for the meet time, conditions look to be getting better a the day progresses so no need to rush for a early start.

I have updated today's Midland league result to www.gbsra.co.uk website and finalised all the scores to give the overall result.

So far Scott and Mark have confirmed they will be attending the Champion of Champions race on the 22nd and 23rd March. Could the pilots highlighted in green please confirm either way as soon as possible as others may wish to attend if you do not.

Thanks

Thank you Mike and all, I had a very good day and was sorry to have to rush off at the end .............. SWMBO's arrangements.

I would have liked to stop for some sport flying and advice on how to make me planes sing  :) Best result for me so far and no serious episodes for anyone.

Very glad you all enjoyed yourselves. Ashes is an interesting slope, many thanks to mark Richards for coming along to help run the event despite not having a f3f model after a transmitted error earlier in the week put his tragi in the workshop for a few weeks.

Nice to see the prototype aresti being put through its paces as well. Seemed to be going very well.

Interesting for me as well to fly the fs3 for the first time in a few years. Set up needs a bit of tweaking to suit a bit more em but nice and snappy and fun to fly.

We actually made a bit of money this year as well so should be able to sort a few nice pictures of the mynd for the top three as momentum of their successes.

Great season only missing one event and even that we might have got an event on. Could just do with a few more newbies coming along. That's why I organized these events in the first place, in an ideal world I would like to see about 15 to 20 entries with 3 or 4 sports fliers coming along just to try their hand and possibly improve their skills. There is such a lot to learn from f3f yet it's so easy to have a go.

I'd like to add my thanks to Mike, Andy and Paul for running the events.

F3F was a bit of a mystery to me until Mike invited me along.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and It got me out on days when the old scale models would have sat in the attic!

Looking forward to next winter's bash - I'll get some practice in.

Hi Midlands winter league,

It appears only Mark Treble will be attending the Champ of champs in a couple of weeks time from this league. If there is anyone from this league interested in attending can you please contact me directly as soon as possible.

Thanks
