Thanks Stu, Jo, Lynda etc for a great comp and day out at Whitesheet. The bacon buttie was delicious, and the flying and banter were great fun, must get out more often !

+1 Thanks Stu and helpers for a great day. The rainy start did make me question the 3 hour drive but it turned out to be a great day with some quite interesting conditions as the lift came and went

Firstly many thanks to all who of you who competed today in Round 2 of the Southern Winter League F3f at Whitesheet.  Your support for the event was very pleasing. We had a healthy entry of 16 pilots today and completed 8 rounds :)

Apologies for the late posting,  but as i explained at the end of the comp, we had a Whitesheet committee meeting after the comp, which didn't start till 7pm , then a 75 mile trip home.

Apologies for not being able to post the result this evening..

We had a small tech prob with the timing gear during the 6th round of the day. I have a preliminary result but would like to verify this before posting. Frustrating for us all i know but i'm sure you understand my reluctance to post the result till I get verification.

Conditions throughout the day were very even for everyone. Nobody had the advantage of some really good air, and all pilots flew some very tidy rounds.

At the end of the comp it was clear that placings throughout the entire field was going to be very close yet alone the top 5 placings.

I'l post the result ASAP tomoz,  and a full report on the comp tomoz evening .

Note to todays pilots;-  A few of you didn't supply me with the name of the models you were to fly when you sent in your entry apps. If you could please send this to me ASAP today,( swallacegromit@aol.com) I can then add this to the Comp report I post.  Thanks

Hi Stu

thanks for the warm welcome...

The results doc is in an unrecognisable format for me on an Apple....any clues on how to open? Word docs usually work fine!

Thanks

Simon in answer to your question he was flying his Ceres

Graeme

So Ceres have won both Southern Rounds held so far. Jiri will be proud that his Ceres design is still very competitive. Interestingly, I let Martin Newnham fly mine at Beltinge recently. He hadn't flown since Rügen, yet instantly he was flying fast on the edge with it. He was gobsmacked how nice a model it was to fly. They track very well and the controls are very harmonised. Mine still flies very well.
