Quick reminder that the final northern league comp is this Saturday. Please note that we may use a site near Hawes if the forecast remains anywhere around WNW. The forecast looks OK at the moment - confirmation and location will be Friday evening.

Whilst the cats away...

Mark, if we end up flying at the Hawes location can we claim mileage allowance for the extra miles?

For some of us it's closer. Just need to find somewhere to get a full English on the way!

Forecast seems to be settling to a moderate westerly, so I expect we'll be on Levisham. Will confirm tomorrow evening.

You can put your claim forms away John:-)

OK - the forecast looks westerly, so we're on Levisham tomorrow. Please meet on the slope at 9.30. Looks like it should be a decent day!

Results from final round of the Northern League comp -

It was a good day on Levisham today, although the hill did its best to challenge us all with a wide range of lift, sink and general variability as the windspeed built throughout the day from around 11m/s to around 22m/s average. We got through 13 rounds with 13 fliers, so everyone got a dose of the variability, most coping very well with the conditions. Also a very creditable performance from 1st timer Neil Sheard (well done Neil). It certainly felt as though we had been battered a bit throughout the day, but a good final comp to complete the series. Thanks to all who attended and helped with buzzing duties and generally keeping things moving along.

Results:

1. Mark Redsell     11594    1000   FS4.3

2. Paul Garnett       10690     922   N124

3. Dave Wright        10266    885   Energic

4. Mark Treble        9939       857   Toxic

5. Richard Bago      9628     830     N115

6. Tom Foreman     9399     810     Stinger

7. Keith Wood          9319   803      FS4

8. Egon Lewin         9279    800      (old) Sting

Well done good to see you all got a good days flying in.

Re qualification please note that Mark Treble and Peter Gunning have qualified through different leagues therefore there results do not count.

Thanks

Martin

Another great day and thanks to Mark for a smooth run comp.

Just wish the air was as smooth, yet variability just adds another element to the very long F3F learning curve.

Managed to get my slowest times of the year followed by knocking a few more milliseconds off my PB.
