Hi everyone

Recommended Posts

Dave

Having returned to thermal gliding after a 30yr break I have found that so many changes have been made Wow!!, I'm in the process of converting my 31yr old Bird of Time to electrickery, so it has been a rather slow/fast/slow learning curve for me.

Cheers all hope to meet you in a field some where.

Hi Dave

Welcome back

As a proud possessor of an electric-modified BOT I commend your choice

Mine is over 20 years old and still going strong, and I have converted it back from a (brushed) motor to the glider version about four years ago

I organise the Nostalgia Day in September at Ivinghoe and can confirm that a BOT is exactly the sort of model we like to see there, why not come, if you can?

All the best

Pete

I thought I recognised the name from the past at the glider events at Ongar Fairlop etc in this area.

Nearest events to you are at Bartletts farm see Electric on the forum

Cannot remember the conversation now Dave so apologies for that, but it gets hectic during a comp to remember all the various conversations that took place. I cannot remember Roy King which is a bit embarrassing as he knows me, but he would not be the first to say that, as it happens a lot as people say that they remember me and I have no idea who they are. I do remember Dick Butt from the Grays area, who flew in the 70/80's

Hopefully this year, with Pete Mitchell sharing the running of the comps at Bartletts, I will have more time to socialise more.

look forward to meeting up again.
