Following on from George Read, just heard the news that Dave Dyer passed away at the end of January, after heart problems for the last years.

One of the original members of BARCS and produced the original transfer logo's and the numbers  that were sold for the models.

Probably will only be remembered by the older members.

Very saddened by this news. I attended many BARCS Comps competing with Dave in the early days. I well remember the meeting at Swinderby run by Dave, the total entry was nine but we had some great flying.

Yes he supplied BARCS transfers numbers and letters, which were very high quality. I still have many of his work.

Thanks for the memories Dave.

BARCS 34.

Ray.

Here is a message received today from Geoff Dallimer ref Dave Dyer:

"His daughter Serena has just provided the following info..

The funeral is going to be held at 2pm on Monday 24th at Sandy Cemetery Chapel. I can send you a full address and postcode. We're requesting that people don't wear black where possible, preferably light or bright colours. We've also said donations to the RSPB or flowers (but no lilies!).

Perhaps you would be kind enough to circulate to all friends.

I have written an Obituary and will forward it shortly

Geoff"

Always a sad time when one of the original BARCS members soars away for ever,  Robin
