105 felt ok - although I have only flown very light conditions. First flight was around 3-4m/s - and controls were very twitchy, but it flew and landed safely.

3rd flight was on the course:

unfortunately, the 7th flight didn't end well and landed rather abruptly due to running out of electricity. A few repairs to do this week... But it will be back next weekend.

Seems a bit strange after 7 rounds of f3f. Even in the cold

Has mks cured its 2.4ghzitis yet or do the servos still go nuts within 10 feet of a telemetry rx? I don't think that helps the battery.

I sold the 6125es out of my stinger. Even a ferrite ring didn't help. I changed to futaba s3270svs and the battery consumption improved significantly.

I don't have telemetry, and never noticed any problem like you describe tom?

I have since tested the battery using the servo test function on my 12FG, and it lasted 1 ½ hours in the house. Which I have been told is about right for the battery.

It wasn't 7 rounds of f3f - it was maiden flight + 2nd trimming flight + 3 rounds of f3f + sports fly at lunchtime + 3 legs of f3f + crunch. Not sure how long the non f3f flights were, but they didn't seem very long to me - maybe I was just enjoying it too much?

I am surprised that I haven't crunched my toxic before now. I have been using LiFe since spring this year, so this was the first time I have used it in cold conditions.

I've been using life for probably more than 6 years have had a couple of battery fails but on the bench through deep discharging them while stored. Otherwise all good.

I got a Willow 2 with the new SOR wings a few weeks back, and took it out for it's first session this week. First impressions are good. The new wings look great, sound great and feel more grippy in the turns. Wind was 9m/s with 500g of ballast.

The Willow 2 just got better!

Is that where I think it is Mark? ;)
