Hi Guys,

Above pilots list updated late ystdy evening.

For your convenience, so as you can keep an eye on the predicted forecast for the comp, here are the links to both the BBC & XC forecasts;-

Usefull note ;- Mr Whitesheet Tony L, who virtually lives on the hill ;) ,has converted me from XC to the BBC for what has proven to be a consistently more accurate Whitesheet forecast.

Hi Guys,

The entry list is coming along very nicely indeed for Sunday, we now have 16 pilots. I'm very pleased to see that we have some newcomers to F3f amongst them. The Winter League is the perfect way to get a flavour of F3f & find out what a comp is all about.

Registration remains open until 12 noon Friday 31st Oct, so there's still time to enter what maybe your own first F3f comp. They'l be a very friendly atmosphere with lots of help & advice readily on hand, you'll be made very welcome indeed by all.

Meet place & time is the Whitesheet SW slope 9.00am for a 9.30 start.

Hi Guys,

Having been carefully watching both XC & the BBC forecasts for sunday for several days, and looking at the latest ones, I'm calling sundays comp on.

The wind is forecast to be a moderate WSW - SW. Some light rain showers are forecast, the time of day for these keeps changing every time I look & also depends upon which forecast you look at. Hopefully with the moderate breeze any showers will pass fairly quickly.

Here is the entry list;-

1.    John Treble

2.    Phil Taylor.

3.    Neil Rogers.

4.    Gromit (me)

5.    Graham Mahoney.

6.    Tony Livingstone.

7.    Joe Cubbitt.

8.    Greg Lewis.

9.    Martin Burr.

10.  Martin Drewett.

11.  Ian Mason.

12.  John Philips.

13.  Ian Falconer.

14.  Dave Rumble.

15.  Jack Cubbitt.

16.  Chris Lamming.

note;- the above list is not the flying order.

I will accept entries on the day.

Meet time is 9.00am on Whitesheets SW Slope  for a 9.30 start.

Good luck Stu, excellent entry list, looks a good call on the weather especially with number of entrants.

Looking forward to seeing the results.

Thanks Martin  .

16 pilots is indeed very good, in addition I know of a number of other pilots who unfortunately are unable to make Sunday's comp but will be entering the following ones. This bodes well for a very well supported Southern Winter League.

The latest XC forecast for sunday shows overcast but dry all day, winds SW  SSW 13-24 mph.

The BBC says dry from 9 am - 2.00pm then a chance of a light rain shower, winds SW 14mph.
