Sounds like a fabulous day was had by all (well most) in the end, wish I had been able to make it.

Well done to all, sounds like it was a feat to actually get to the slope!

Well, I'm hoping for a bit more speed this w/e.

Been fettling the Vampire since the tail fins were loose, not even mating up the incidence pins

Then I found a nice big crack in the fus back of the wings where it had been "strengthened"  :o

So it's had some external carbon applied.

Added weight should not be a problem this w/e  :D

Hi Stu,

No where near as fast as Whitesheet  :P

Pole Cot with a decent blow should see consistent sub 40 sec runs. add in a thermal or two and low 30s are very achievable.

Not sure what the record would be at the moment, far too few comps run in decent conditions, I think it is around mid 30s.

Current wind direction on the Mynd is WSW and has dropped slightly from this morning and average is about 25mph ...forcast is for similar or very slightly less tomorrow

those interested might take a peak at this myndcam.com click on individual sections and refesh for current readings

mmmmm

Average wind speed for last 4 hours : ~41 knots - gusting to 57  :o

which is a bit more n 25mph I tinks    (41kn = 47.18196 mph actually)

So, just for academic interest, what is the upper wind speed limit for F3F - if there is one?
