A few scribblings while i have time.

I would suggest that one person takes ownership of the day. Who ever takes on that job should understand the local rules, and ensure that the group takes them on board. Simple things like, correct sites, litter, parking, handling any visiting sports fliers, etc. Mark Richards might be the right man if he fancies it.

Other simple things needed for a successful day.

Set either a finish time or a max rounds.

Stick to the rules, it's easy to allow a flier a refly but better to apply the rules as even handed as possible.

Keep the momentum, is dead easy to allow the day to drift if the CD doesn't push it occasionally.

Think about safety. Remember it is just for fun, the CD should be watchful and cautious of pressures which may lead to pilots endangering themselves or others. Do not suggest someone flies in the rain or the fog or more likely if the sun becomes a real problem.

Keep a written sheet of the numbers. Make a few mental notes during the day to make an interesting report.

Don't lay the course at 2 x 50 with a big V making a shorter straight line between the posts.

Chase a few people to get them to come along, it's easier if you can get more numbers.

I might put in an appearance!

Air One is now repaired/ fixed but has not been test flown/ trimmed out so i might need a quick fly before the start.

Jerry , polish the limo!

Andy has confirmed an appearance though the Limo is grubby and doesn't get washed in the winter!!  :P

Looks like the wind has blown off the windsock at the Midland Gliding Club!!

Hope it will have abated a bit by Saturday

If there's anyone else how would like to come and join us on Saturday would be made very welcome.

That even gose to anyone who's never had a go at F3F racing before and fancies ago.

No need for a state of the art racing machine.

just bring what you usually fly and we'll get you up and going.

Forecast looks like you will have a good day tomorrow. If the gate at the bottom of the burway is closed, you can go around through rattlinghope.

Paul has collected and had instruction on the timing gear, I hope you all have a good day, shame I can't make it.
