BMFA League 3 Scotland - 14th June

Jumping the gun a bit for entries but a few people were asking at the weekend where to stay if coming up for our league event in June.

The place above is handy for the hills and seems pretty reasonable. Last time I collected a car full on the Saturday night and we went for an interesting curry in Leslie (flourescent nan breads) which I would be happy to do again.

Our slopes are mapped here - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@56.3182875,-3.2668505,11z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!6m1!1sz8-mD5cnEf9M.kZ63e4cucESo and you can look on streetmap.co.uk for the OS info by entering local places from there.

Hi All,

To confirm registration is now closed for League 3 this weekend in Scotland.  As normal a weather call will be made Friday evening, if the contest is on, meet time and location will also be confirmed.

Thanks

Martin

With a great deal of frustration, I confirm that the comp on Sunday is OFF.

Forecasts have been pretty poor all week with a swinging light wind putting us between two slopes about 50 mins apart. The met office forecast was the most encouraging but it now shows north east as opposed to nne.

Even with low numbers and an early start I now think its probable that we wouldn't get 4 rounds.

Thanks to those who entered. Maybe next time.

Frustrating but right call looking at the forecasts. Looks like I might have to call in HoH tomorrow on my way to Newcastle instead.

Thanks Pete.  A great shame, but it did look a bit marginal, and if anything the forecasts were starting to get lighter winds.

Forecast has been looking iffy all week but I was sure it would improve but it hasn't. Worse if anything! Looks like a reasonable day too but not for us! High pressure weather system in summer. Huh!

Been looking forward to the comp for weeks and so disappointed.
