All are welcome, but BMFA insurance is a necessity. New contest pilots especially welcome.

This F3K league event is to be held at Twywell - not far from Kettering.  This is a farm field and is normally grazed by sheep.

The start time will be 10:00 - please aim to arrive by 09:30 at the latest.

Entries close at 18:00 on Friday 11th Sept.

Please bring your BMFA Membership card to show for proof of insurance.

An entry fee of £10 per head will be charged for this event - please be ready to pay on the day - juniors free.

I'll update this table as the entries come in.

The lanes around the field are narrow and used by horse riders - please take care.

Tony M's map of the location is here.

Let me know who is coming by posting here or PMing me.  Give me your frequency and BMFA number.

Hi Mike,

Sorry, I can't make this one.  We will be at the Goodwood Revival for the weekend.  Let's hope the weather is kind for us all.

Simon.

A warning note about the Twywell event.

The word from a recent user of the field is that it's dry but a bit rougher around the entrance than we may have seen before, after all the rain earlier in the year.

Take care and maybe leave the low-slung sports car at home.

So, metcheck says 75%-95% rain risk all day, 7.5-9.3m/s wind.  Windyty showing rain most of the day, slightly less wind.  BBC weather is a bit more optimistic, but still 5.8m/s all day.  Not sure which to believe.

I'll be honest, I'm less than enthusiastic.  Am I being to pessimistic?  I will revisit at 19:00, keen to hear other opinions.
